Abstract

The subject matter of “Social violence and adolescence” is a theoretical object that involves all of the sciences related to
the human being. Therefore this paper attempts a dialogue with those sciences from the point of view of Psychoanalysis, being
the unconscious its center of attention. We try to show the destabilizing effects, together with its effects on identifications, that puberty imposes on the adolescent’s psyche in the peculiar circumstance of today’s unstable world. We ask ourselves about the conditions under which a psychical working over can be done about the violence that is inherent to the formation of the psyche and, on the other hand, the one that inhibits it and leads to destructive trends, auto destructive or/and destructive of others.
