The jouissance of the object

The discourse of the capitalist formulated by Lacan allows a clinical reading of the current relationship between subjects and the objects actually produced by technoscience. One observes in particular an inversion of the relation to enjoyment: from the promise of enjoyment induced by the objects that aims to fill the subjective failure to the strange but real formula
according to which it is the objects that would «enjoy» the subjects, trapped these and subjected to the empire of objects, with an increasing risk of «desubjectivation». We consider that psychoanalysis is one of the last barriers that oppose this cardinal process in the current subjective discontent in the culture.
