Abstract

The development of the clinical investigation, as well as the systematical empiric investigation, are requirements of the actual moment of psychoanalysis, to respond to its necessities of internal growing, as well as the demand of a dialogue with the culture and society. Another types of investigation have to be encouraged also. It is in discussion the scientific criterion in relation to psychoanalysis and the investigation in psychotherapy, reviewing the main positions about it. The principal lines of actual development of the systematical empiric investigation are abnidged: investigation of the attention system, investigation of the process and the results, as well as the investigation of the development and its perturbations. It concludes in the necessity to complement the clinical investigation with the empirical investigation, although is not an easy thing to join them, because each one
requires an special spiritual state. But the richness of the psychoanalysis —and its loyalty to the human nature complexity— is to not give up neither to the hermeneutic dimension nor to the claims of natural science.
