Abstract

Projective identification in a case of schizophrenia This essay deals specially with one of the most outstanding aspects in the symptoms and evolution of a schizophrenic patient: projective identification. “I feel what the rest of the people feel and this makes me tired and leaves me empty”. It is shown that the claustrophobia and depersonalization in this case are direct effects of same. With regard to the control, three situations are considered: 1) The control over a good object (made relatively autonomous). 2) The control through silence (which I call proof - control or doubt - control). 3) The control over the chosen bad object (which I call safety control). With regard to aggression, it is observed that it finds expression up to a certain limit where it autolimits itself in order to preserve the object. An attempt is made to categorize the depositary objects in relation with a certain period of the analysis.
