The Body; Room-Construction-Creation
Keywords:
cuerpo, yo corporal, psicosoma, integración, material clínicoAbstract
Through birth the body precedes the subject but the newly born is not aware of his body, at the same time he ignores himself as a subject. It takes time and the confluence, more or less organized, of several elements to become a subject with a personal embodiment whose erogenicity shades the body experiences and displays the phantasy. This paper attempts to think of the process through which the child, appropriates, builds up, and creates his own body, inevitable condition to become a subject. Particularly it focuses the function of “the other”, the mother, in this process. Paradoxically for it to become our body we need the other and the other with his own body. Winnicott’s concepts of integration and personalization are used for a personal elaboration of the theme dealt with.
