The Homosexual Acting Out.

Abstract

We define this specific conduct as homosexual activities carried out during the therapy. It is of fundamental importance to analyse the components in the structure of homosexual acting out in order to understand it fully. During my psychoanalytical experience I have observed that certain factors occur constantly, being an integral part of the acting out. These are: Repetition —compulsion, oral anxieties, particular aspects in the choice of the homosexual object, acting— out in the transference, and ritual. The examination of each one of these factors will give us an idea of its importance and influence. We consider that the acting in the transference is the first thing to be interpreted: it is an urgent point; taking into account later on the other elements of the acting out and the countertransferencial reactions.
