The topic approached in this article is old age; it is set within contemporary time and articulated with the concept of subjectivity.
In a world filled with unease, due to speed and immediacy, psychoanalysis helps to restore the role of being the spokesperson
of the generational, spatial and temporal history. The possibilities of psychoanalytical treatment and the prejudices around it are
considered. The article examines the relations between treatment and recollection processes, the construction of a
subjectivating recount, as well as a trans-generational rescue. Priority is conceded to the capacity to narrate, recall and historize,
in order to generate a singular line of filiations and existential continuity.
