The violation

Abstract

The author narrates as episode in the analysis of a four year old boy in which the diagnoses of psychosis and dysphasia coexist.
This episode, where the analyst is accused of “violating”, seriously threatens the continuity of the analysis. In the paper we see how the analyst coped with the situation and other “violations” present in the analysis of this type of patients. The possible defensive role of theories to relation to clinical emergencies and some Ideas to continue thinking about limit situations are suggested.
