From the Knowledge of "Insight" to the Knowledge of Science; a Committed Look at the Current Controversy on Research in Psychoanalysis

Abstract

The author sustains that psychoanalisis is a science of subject, its method and object can not be treated by compared and statistic proceedings. An epidemiology about psychoanalytic casuistry, while important and useful, is not the nucleus of the psychoanalytic investigation. For that reason carries on an allegation, discussing the actual hegemony of the empirical methods in the IPA hierarchy, and proposes some alternative lines of investigation.
