Abstract

This paper aims to comment, that is to say, both gather and evaluate the ideas, as well as consider the procedures that Silvana Hernández employs in her text «La belleza de pensar».
To this end, some of the many ideas contained in her work are pointed out and highlighted, seeking to identify the purpose that motivates the author, her aim, what she seeks and the method she uses to achieve it.
This commentary mentions some ways of saying and listening, and advances some peculiarities and characteristics of the activity of thinking, its modalities and its obstacles.
It thus seeks to join Hernandez´s call to expand our capacity, both individual and collectively, to cultivate thought.
Some rhetorical and ethical requirements for promoting communicative exchange are also mentioned.
And it concludes with a brief consideration of beauty as an epiphany.
