As I wrote these lines, I was thinking about life's paradoxes: on the one hand, a previously scheduled scientific conference at the Uruguayan Psychoanalytic Association (APU): "40 Years of Democracy: Memory, Freedom, and Psychoanalysis," on this significant date of June 27th, and on the other, my own story.
