Abstract

Freudian psychoanalysis is knowledge always in peril, always besieged. It is a work in progress which cannot be frozen as an es-
tablished dogma. Therein lies a considerable trouble. It is not an established or consolidated knowledge, nor an universal of science, but a knowledge that is not known and that is to put on hold, that does not abide by statistics because the knowledge that is not known and must be deciphered is written in a strange language,in each subject (and for his analyst) and he carries it encrypted in his body, hidden but in sight and slips into what is said saying.
The question is, however, in what key to the reading we can approach to Freud works 100 years later? Is it possible to think about it in relation to the treatment that culture makes of Oedipus along times? What can and should be lost from Oedipus, what can and should be preserved from myth and tragedy? Perhaps it is the «not knowing about Oedipus» that captivates Freud, the detective who ignores that he himself is the murderer?
In times of political correctness that does not allow itself to be questioned, the modern soul connected with the tragic hero must
still be saved. Saving the modern soul is to retake a subjectivity, which is homogeneous with the Freudian concept of Unconscious.
The Talmud says: «Teach your tongue to say “I don’t know” so that it doesn’t get entangled in a web of deceit.»
