Abstract

Against the cliché that states that psychoanalysis refers only to the past and ignores the present and the future, the work of Bion offers a psychoanalytic approach based on the emphasis on novelty that displays each patient at each session. Like Freud proposed floating attention as the ideal mode of analytic listening, Bion develops several lines feasibly be thought of as a specific form of facing the clinical phenomenon.
