Of aggression and violence in adolescence

Aggressiveness and violence during adolescence imply taking into account its multiple senses which range from the healthy assertion of one’s own space as opposed to others, to the repetition of traumatic violent experiences
such as the violation of bodily boundaries as well as ones of space and time. A look through the different authors within psychoanalytical literature allows us to question these terms and continue towards the clinical practice,
where acting is ranked above all else, allowing us to observe that not every adolescent act involves a connotation of risk. In this case we refer to those acts which, due to their characteristics, have a connotation of danger, that many times endangers the adolescent’s own life. Clinical material is attached, focusing on adolescent acting, highlighting the question of how t o create
through the axis of transference – countertransference, in the analytic session, a space that allows place to the capacity of thinking and therefore allowing anticipation of action.
