On the negative therapeutic reaction

This piece of writing elaborates on the negative therapeutic reaction pointing out three different types. The author calls murderous negative therapeutic reaction to the classic one, which is the main obstacle to analysis. A second type related to the first but different in quality and quantity includes elaboration. Finally, the author refers to a third type: analyst’s sexual acting.
The author exposes her ideas backed-up by her clinical experience and the theoretical contributions of the psychoanalytical tradition and that of contemporary authors. She sets a special importance on analyst’s role in the origin of the different kinds of negative therapeutic reaction.
