Performances; Body and Transcripts in Transfer

This paper underlines the importance of acts in Freuds teachings. It sustains that the comparison of the analytic scene with that of the dream would operate, in adult treatment, as an obstacle to the reception of the motor activity and gestures as discursive
elements. It also engages into the difference between actions with an underlying hidden sense, whose expression is stiffed by repression from other actions referred to marks that have not reached the level of fantasy and of what is speakeable. In both cases they are considered as motions that appeared without passing through preconcious process, underlining the communication as value of something that cannot be said otherwise. The purpose of this paper is to unravel the process at stake in the enactment and its defense mechanisms. A brief vignette illustrates the way in which a patient act is included in transference experience, showing the analysts participation in these productions.
