Changing Presentations of Sexuality

The aim of this paper is to analyze the masculine-feminine polarity in relation with sexual and gender diversities. The author focuses on the polysemy of the terms of this polarity from the point of view of sexuality, fantasies, identifications and gender identity. The place of norms, culture and subcultures as well as the ambiguous relation of each subject with his/her own body are also at stake. The Nature-Culture debate is part of these questions. The analysis of the masculine-feminine polarity alludes not only to a theoretical debate but it has strong consequences in the clinical practice. The author points out the distinction between gender
diversities and sexual difference as well as proposes to think subjectivity on the basis of a tripartite scheme, according to the
paradigm of complexity. Although this debate has an extradisciplinary point of view, is principally intra-disciplinary.
