La naturaleza de este artículo puede describirse como sigue. Se intenta exponer en detalle, a la vez, la teoría clásica o teoría de Freud-Abraham, y la teoría kleiniana de la depresión psicótica. Para esto, hallamos necesario distinguir entre objetos introyectados que forman parte del mundo interno y objetos introyectados que forman parte de la persona enfrentada con un mundo interno.
